Had an absolute blast in the Old Jail room. Participated with one other person, and couldn’t quite make the time, but soooo much damn fun overall. Eli was a great game master, and assisted us with a few clues where we got stuck. Definitely looking forward to running another game!!!

We were in St. Augustine for a long weekend and a local recommended Escape U. So glad we listened. We did Save The Fleet and I can honestly say the 15-foot lighthouse inside that room is worth the ticket price alone. The puzzle design around the beacon was inspired. Will be back for the other rooms.

Sneaky Snake Lounge

The Sneaky Snake Lounge is genuinely one of the best escape rooms we've ever done. The 1920s speakeasy set design is jaw-dropping — you feel like you've stepped into a prohibition-era jazz club. Our game master was fantastic, gave just enough hints without ruining the fun. We did not escape, but we're absolutely coming back.

Escape U is the hidden gem of St. Augustine. Did the Sneaky Snake Lounge with five friends and we were completely transported. The prohibition-era speakeasy design is meticulous — every shelf, every prop adds to the story. We failed to escape but honestly the experience was worth every second of the 60 minutes.

Old Jail

Top-tier escape room experience in a city full of tourist traps. Escape U is the real deal. The Old Jail storyline about the framed prisoner is genuinely clever and the 1920s setting pays off in ways I won't spoil. Staff treated our group like regulars from the moment we walked in.

Brought my wife and two teens for Save The Fleet on our St. Augustine trip. That 15-foot lighthouse replica is no joke — the moment you walk in you forget you're in a strip mall. The haunted elements caught my daughter off guard (in the best way). We made it out with 4 minutes to spare. Huge win.

Old Jail

Visited with my college roommates for a reunion weekend. We did the Old Jail — the time-travel setup sounds gimmicky but it actually works really well. Being 'framed prisoners' trying to reach the sheriff's office gave everyone a clear shared goal. We escaped with literally one minute left. 10/10 chaos.

Second time visiting Escape U and it was just as fun as the first. Did the Sneaky Snake Lounge this time — previously did the lighthouse. The speakeasy atmosphere is incredible. Prohibition era everything: the music, the props, the lighting. We tried for the Voodoo Venom and nearly got it.

Did The Old Jail for my birthday with six friends. The time-travel concept is clever and the jail cell atmosphere is totally convincing. Finding our way to the sheriff's office felt genuinely tense. Staff was super welcoming. Already planning our next visit for the speakeasy room.

Great Experience! — My husband, daughter, son-in law, and I participated in the "Save the Fleet" adventure. None of us had ever been to an escape room before, but we all enjoy a good puzzle - - and this did not disappoint. We all had a great time, shared some laughs and created some memories. We will surely do this again.

Took our family of five including a 9-year-old and a 74-year-old. Save The Fleet hit the sweet spot — exciting, a little spooky, and accessible to everyone. The game master kept a close eye on how we were doing and the hints system felt natural rather than intrusive. Highly recommend.

Save The Fleet might be the most impressive physical set I've seen in an escape room. That lighthouse is TALL. The haunted keeper house part is not for the faint of heart but our whole group powered through it laughing. Game master was wonderful, very attentive without being intrusive.

If you're in St. Augustine and you've already done the Castillo and the Old Town Trolley, do Escape U next. The Old Jail room connects to the actual history of the city in a fun way, and the time-travel twist is surprisingly immersive. Kids absolutely loved it.

We tackled the Sneaky Snake Lounge as a team of four — two of us are escape room veterans and even we found it genuinely challenging. The Voodoo Venom moonshine puzzle had us stumped for a solid 10 minutes. Immaculate set, fun game master energy, highly recommend dressing the part if you can.

Old Jail

Really solid escape room experience. The Old Jail had a great concept and we loved the story about the framed prisoner. Lost a star only because one puzzle felt a bit ambiguous, but the game master helped us get unstuck quickly. Would still recommend to anyone visiting St. Augustine.

Save The Fleet absolutely delivered on the spook factor. I don't want to give anything away but the keeper house portion made one of our group genuinely scream. Not a haunted house — just really well done atmospheric design. The hurricane narrative kept us motivated the whole time.

Escape U is hands down the top thing to do in St. Augustine after the Castillo. We did two rooms in one afternoon — Old Jail first, then Sneaky Snake Lounge. Both were excellent. The production quality is miles above other escape rooms we've tried in Florida.

Sneaky Snake Lounge

Enjoyable experience with a well-themed room. We did the Sneaky Snake Lounge — the jazz atmosphere and speakeasy décor were excellent. We needed more hints than we'd like to admit, but the game master was great about it. Four stars only because I'd love to see the difficulty scaled for two-player groups.

Took our corporate team of 8 here and it was perfect for team building. Everyone found their role organically — some people are puzzle solvers, some are searchers, some just panic-read everything. The game master kept energy high without giving too much away. We barely escaped The Old Jail.

Did two rooms in one visit — Save The Fleet and the Sneaky Snake Lounge. Both were fantastic. The production quality at Escape U is consistently high across both rooms. The staff was great, the booking process was easy, and the rooms themselves delivered. Planning to come back for The Old Jail.

Sneaky Snake Lounge

The Sneaky Snake Lounge is immersive in a way that most escape rooms just aren't. From the moment you step in, the jazz soundtrack, the dim lighting, the whole speakeasy vibe wraps around you. Didn't escape but the story made the failure feel almost cinematic.

Wonderful escape game here in St Augustine! — Escape U is so fun! This is the second room I've gotten to experience here and it did not disappoint! Tyler N was fantastic and so fun 😊 can't wait to come back again for the last room!

Booked the Old Jail for my husband's birthday and it was a great choice. The backstory about the framed prisoner drew him in immediately and the jail cells felt authentic. We made it out with about 3 minutes left and the rush was real. Thank you to our game master who kept us motivated without spoiling anything.

Save The Fleet is a great option if you have a mixed group with folks who aren't usually into escape rooms. The puzzles are approachable, the story is engaging, and the lighthouse prop is genuinely impressive. Our 11-year-old led us to the beacon — she was the MVP.

Escape U stood out among everything we did in St. Augustine. The lighthouse in Save The Fleet is a jaw-dropper the first time you see it. The hurricane narrative is well-paced and the haunted elements are effective without being gratuitously scary. One of our group refuses to admit she got spooked, but we all know.

Old Jail

Great escape room overall. We did the Old Jail room — loved the 1920s time-travel premise, the jail cells look authentic and the sheriff's office reveal was satisfying. Docked one star because parking nearby is a bit rough, but that's St. Augustine for you, not really on them.

My friends and I did the Sneaky Snake Lounge and we were completely sold on the flapper-era atmosphere. The level of detail in the props is genuinely impressive. We came close to escaping but the Voodoo Venom puzzle at the end had us stumped. The game master's post-game walkthrough was just as fun.

Really enjoyed the Sneaky Snake Lounge — the atmosphere is fantastic, very 1920s speakeasy with the right music and lighting. Difficulty is no joke at level 9; we needed hints but the game master delivered them gracefully. Slight hiccup with a prop mid-game but staff fixed it fast.

Three rooms, three different experiences — that's the sign of a well-run escape room venue. We worked through all three across two visits. Save The Fleet is the most atmospheric. The Old Jail is the most story-driven. Sneaky Snake is the hardest by far. All are worth your time.

Came as skeptics, left as converts. We're not big escape room people but Save The Fleet genuinely surprised us. The scale and production value are unlike anything we'd seen before. Already have the Sneaky Snake Lounge booked for our next visit.

Visited with my mom and two sisters for a girls' trip. We did Save The Fleet and everyone had a blast, including my mom who has never done an escape room before. The game master was patient and encouraging. The haunted lighthouse theme was eerie enough to be exciting without being overwhelming.

Escape rooms live or die by their atmosphere and Escape U delivers completely. The Sneaky Snake Lounge feels like a real speakeasy, down to the background saxophone music and the prohibition-era bottles behind the bar. Truly one of the best-themed rooms we've played anywhere.

Sneaky Snake Lounge

Escape rooms tend to blend together but Escape U is memorable. The Sneaky Snake Lounge commits completely to the 1920s gangster-speakeasy theme — saxophone on the soundtrack, prohibition-era decor throughout, and puzzles woven into the narrative in ways that feel logical. We did not escape but we'll be back.

Escape rooms are a St. Augustine tradition for our friend group now and Escape U is our go-to. The Old Jail is especially good for groups with mixed experience levels — the puzzles layer well and everybody finds something they can contribute. The 1920s atmosphere is really well done.

Solid staff, clever puzzles, and a great location in St. Augustine. We did the lighthouse room and the haunted keeper house portion was legitimately tense. Our group of six was very much NOT expecting to be spooked but we were. In the best possible way.

Fun night out for our group of four. The Old Jail room has a great concept and the jail-to-sheriff's-office progression felt satisfying. Some puzzles were on the easy side for our group but we still had a great time and the game master kept things lively.

Valentine's Day date and it could not have gone better. Two-player escape room experience in the Sneaky Snake Lounge — we barely escaped but the gangster storyline kept us laughing and communicating the whole time. The prohibition theme is so well done. 10/10 date idea.

Visited during a winter getaway to St. Augustine and Escape U was a perfect rainy afternoon activity. Save The Fleet has an eerie atmosphere that actually builds as you get closer to the beacon. The keeper house section is the highlight — won't say more than that. Excellent experience.

Did all three rooms over the holiday week and each one was distinct enough to feel fresh. The Sneaky Snake is the most challenging, Old Jail is the most family-friendly, and Save The Fleet splits the difference while adding genuine atmosphere with the lighthouse. Staff across the board was excellent.

This place genuinely impressed us. Three rooms, all with distinct themes and strong production values. We did the general tour option and got a feel for all three before booking Save The Fleet. The lighthouse alone justifies the trip. Friendly staff from the first phone call to the post-game debrief.

Boxing Day family outing and it was a huge hit. Six of us ranging from age 10 to 68, and everyone contributed something in Save The Fleet. The scale of the lighthouse set piece surprised everyone. Grandma did NOT appreciate the haunted part but she survived.

Fun afternoon with coworkers. The Old Jail is accessible enough for people who haven't done escape rooms before and still engaging enough for those of us who have. Loved the 1920s framed prisoner setup. Could use a couple more 'aha' moments but overall a really enjoyable experience.

Escape rooms are one of those things where you either get it or you don't — Escape U gets it. The Sneaky Snake Lounge is so layered and the Voodoo Venom moonshine storyline is used cleverly throughout rather than just being set dressing. We're already plotting a return trip.

Came as a group of 7 for a bachelorette weekend activity. The Old Jail was a hit — nobody expected to be solving puzzles in a 1920s jail cell but somehow it became the most memorable part of the whole weekend. Game master was hilarious and kept the energy up the whole time.

Good escape room with a genuinely fun speakeasy theme. The attention to 1920s detail in the Sneaky Snake Lounge is impressive. Knocking one star because we found the difficulty jump between puzzles a bit uneven, but I'd still absolutely recommend it for a night out.
